Skoda Auto India closed calendar year 2025 on a historic high, marking its silver jubilee in the country with its strongest-ever annual sales performance. The brand recorded total sales of 72,665 units, registering a 107 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth over 35,166 units sold in 2024. This milestone year stands as Škoda Auto India’s most successful since its entry into the market in 2001.

The record performance was driven by a focused business strategy anchored in three key pillars— relevance, differentiation, and trust — along with a strengthened product portfolio and an expanded retail footprint. 2025 also represented the brand’s widest-ever reach in India, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the market.

Commenting on the achievement, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India, said, “The year 2025 will always remain a special one for us. It marks our 25th anniversary in India, and it has seen us with our most enhanced and diverse product portfolio ever, and we are now at our widest when it comes to network and market presence. All of this, combined with the trust and love our customers have shown us, has driven us to our biggest year ever in India.”

Skoda Kylaq boosts sales

Product-led growth remained central to Skoda Auto India’s performance in 2025. The Kylaq played a key role in expanding accessibility, while limited editions of the Kushaq and Slavia added freshness and value to the line-up. Since its launch in late 2024, Skoda has sold over 43,000 units of the Kylaq, thanks to a strong value-for-money proposition. However, the Kylaq has cannibalized the sales of the Kushaq.

Skoda is working on a facelifted version of the Kushaq which is expected to launch in early 2026. Meanwhile, the Czech carmaker continued to strengthen the brand’s position in the premium segment with the launch of the new Kodiaq and the Octavia RS in the Indian market. During the year, the company also crossed the milestone of 200,000 locally-produced vehicles sold since 2021.

Expansion in customer touchpoints

Alongside product momentum, Škoda Auto India significantly expanded its network, growing to over 325 customer touchpoints across 183 cities. The expansion was supported by long-standing dealer partners as well as new partners with a strong focus on customer-centric operations.

In 2025, the brand also enhanced its identity and customer engagement initiatives. India became the first large Škoda market globally to complete a 100 percent network rebranding under the updated Corporate Identity and Design. Customer outreach was further strengthened through new brand campaigns and experiential initiatives, while investments in training, service infrastructure, extended warranties, and ownership benefits reinforced trust and long-term value.
