Skoda has partnered with Upstream to centralise cybersecurity intelligence across vehicles and digital systems.
Upstream has announced a strategic partnership with Skoda Auto to strengthen cybersecurity across the automaker’s connected vehicles, digital services, and supporting systems. Under the partnership, Skoda is using Upstream’s platform to bring together cyber threat intelligence, security signals, and risk data into a single, centralised environment.
This unified approach allows teams across the organisation to collaborate more effectively, gain earlier visibility into emerging risks, and reduce the manual effort typically involved in compliance reporting and internal coordination.
According to Skoda, the growing complexity of connected vehicle ecosystems has widened the range of potential cyber threats. These risks extend beyond vehicles to cloud platforms, internal IT systems, consumer-facing applications, charging infrastructure, and supply chain partners.
By consolidating cybersecurity information into one workspace, Skoda plans to enable dozens of cybersecurity and engineering professionals to review findings, share context, ask questions, and document decisions collaboratively.
The partnership could also simplify Skoda’s preparation for regulatory audits. Evidence, corrective actions, and supporting documentation are organised within a single system, making compliance reviews more efficient and less resource-intensive.
Skoda executives say the collaboration supports compliance with R155 requirements and enhances confidence in taking proactive action against potential threats. Meanwhile, Upstream highlights Skoda’s forward-looking approach as an example of how automakers can mature their cybersecurity capabilities through structured processes and continuous improvement.
The partnership aims to reduce administrative burden, clarify workflows, and accelerate response times. With regular feedback loops and ongoing collaboration, Upstream’s platform continues to evolve alongside Skoda’s growing connected vehicle and digital ecosystem.
