The second-gen Skoda Kodiaq is being assembled in India at the brand’s Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (formerly Aurangabad) plant in Maharashtra.
Deliveries for the newly launched second-generation Kodiaq commence today. Starting at ₹46.89 lakh (ex-showroom, India), it is positioned as Skoda’s most premium offering in the country. There are two trims on offer here: Sportline and Selection L&K. The latter packs in a little more oomph and will set you back ₹48.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Both variants are powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine tuned to produce 201 bhp and 320 Nm. While peak torque figures remain unchanged, power has increased by 14 bhp from the outgoing model. The engine continues to be paired with a 7-speed DSG, and an all-wheel drive layout is standard on both trims.
Besides debuting a more evolved and polished exterior design, the interior of the 2025 Skoda Kodiaq has been thoroughly revised with a new layered dashboard design. With the Selection L&K variant, there’s a dual-tone black and tan theme visible all over the cabin. Key noteworthy additions here include a brand new 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, paired with a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. Safety-wise, the 2025 Kodiaq now comes with 9 airbags as standard, along with a 360-degree camera setup, front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, TPMS, park assist, and much more. Interestingly, there’s no ADAS on offer here, which for a full-size premium SUV of its calibre continues to be a strange strategy.
The new Skoda Kodiaq will compete with rivals such as the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, MG Gloster, the upcoming MG Majestor, and the recently launched Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line.
