Upon launch, Skoda Kushaq facelift will continue to rival the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Victoria, Toyota HyRyder, and Volkswagen Taigun to name a few.
Skoda kickstarted the India 2.0 programme with the launch of Kushaq and Slavia in 2021. More than four years in the market, the Kushaq is in serious need for an update as sales have plummeted in the past year or so ever since the Kylaq was launched. The company has been working on the facelifted Kushaq for some time with test mules of the same spotted on multiple occasions in recent months.
Another set of spy shots has emerged online which show an updated Kushaq wearing a partial camouflage. The front and rear ends of the test mule have been covered in a foliage although there doesn’t appear to be any significant visual update. That said, Skoda is likely to introduce some subtle cosmetic updates to the compact SUV.

Expect some changes to the split LED lighting setup up front with tweaked DRL signatures and sleeker headlamp clusters. The Skoda butterfly front grille could also receive some revisions. There could be a new set of blacked-out alloy wheels, while at the rear, the facelifted Kushaq will have slimmer taillamps that could also get a connected LED strip. Expect the rear bumper to get minor updates as well. The overall exterior design, however, of the Kushaq in its updated avatar is likely to remain unchanged.
We expect more significant changes inside the cabin of the Kushaq with more features added to the equipment, although the spy images don’t provide a sneak peek inside the cabin. One visible change is the addition of a panoramic sunroof in place of a single-pane unit. Other feature additions expected in the updated Kushaq are Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System and a 360-degree camera. We may also get to see new interior themes with different upholstery in the upcoming Kushaq.

Mechanically, the Skoda Kushaq facelift will most likely remain unchanged with the same two turbocharged petrol engine options: a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder unit and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder mill. The former kicks out 114 bhp and 178 Nm of peak torque whereas the latter dishes out 148 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol can be paired either with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox whereas the 1.5-litre unit can be had only with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
The Czech carmaker is expected to bring out the updated Kushaq in early 2026. As for prices, we don’t expect Skoda to make any drastic increase. Currently, Skoda Kushaq is priced between ₹10.61 lakh and ₹18.43 lakh (both ex-showroom).
