Škoda Auto has unveiled the first design sketches of its Vision O concept, setting the stage for what the brand describes as the future of its estate model lineup. Revealed on September 4, the teaser highlights both exterior and interior lines that embody the next generation of Škoda’s Modern Solid design language. The concept’s silhouette emphasises aerodynamic efficiency—an element Škoda says will boost both range and performance when the fully electric Vision O makes its debut.
Škoda has positioned the concept as a forward-looking estate car, combining practical proportions with sleek, flowing surfaces and a minimalist, technology-rich cabin.
Underpinning the Vision O is Volkswagen Group’s MEB modular electric platform, which already underlies models such as the Volkswagen ID.4, Audi Q4 e-tron and Škoda’s own Enyaq iV SUV. Škoda’s in-house development of MEB battery systems, electric motors and control electronics will be showcased in the Vision O concept, hinting at shared components across future Škoda BEV and hybrid offerings.
While the Vision O is a design study, industry observers believe several styling cues—particularly the clean interplay between body panels and the pronounced daytime-running lights—could trickle down into upcoming production models such as the next-generation Octavia estate or higher-trim Scala variants. In India, where Škoda continues to expand under its Next Level Škoda Strategy, there is speculation that a more compact derivative could arrive by the end of the decade. However, Škoda’s focus on right-hand-drive adaptations and localization makes a Vision O–style estate less likely than interior and lighting elements influencing locally built models.
As Škoda aims to rank among Europe’s top three volume brands and leverage growth markets including India, the Vision O concept offers a clear vision of how future Škoda estates may blend the brand’s hallmark practicality with cutting-edge design and electric-driving technology.
