Suzuki has introduced a 45-unit Katana Limited Edition featuring cosmetic upgrades, exclusive accessories and an Akrapovic exhaust while retaining the standard bike’s 999 cc engine and mechanical setup.
Suzuki has revealed a limited-run version of its Katana, with just 45 units of the new Katana Limited Edition set to be produced for the German market.
The current Katana already draws heavily from the styling of the original model, characterised by sharply creased bodywork, silver paint and its distinctive front-end design. The Limited Edition builds on this with a series of cosmetic enhancements and a minor equipment update.
Visually, each motorcycle features a numbered sticker identifying its place within the 45-unit production run. Additional exterior updates include a carbon-look tank pad, frame sliders and a blacked-out rear fairing. Suzuki has also added a black and silver decal kit called “The Edge”, designed to highlight the bike’s angular design language.
Along with the motorcycle, buyers will receive a few additional items. These include a black garage mat featuring the Katana logo and a copy of the book Katana History, which documents the evolution of the model over more than four decades.
The only mechanical update on the Limited Edition comes in the form of a new exhaust system. The bike replaces the standard silencer with a slip-on unit from Akrapovic developed specifically for the Katana. Apart from this change, the chassis, braking setup and engine remain unchanged from the standard model.
Power continues to come from a 999 cc inline-four engine derived from the Suzuki GSX‑R1000, producing 152 bhp. In the Katana, the engine is tuned to deliver stronger mid-range performance rather than focusing solely on top-end power. It is paired with a ride-by-wire throttle system and a range of electronic rider aids.
The electronics package includes three riding modes, five-level switchable traction control using Suzuki’s STCS system and a bidirectional quickshifter as standard. The chassis setup remains unchanged as well, featuring an aluminium frame combined with KYB suspension and Brembo brakes with radially mounted calipers.
Like the standard model, the Katana Limited Edition also features a fully LED lighting system and an LCD instrument cluster flanked by LED indicator displays.
It must be noted that this generation of the Suzuki Katana was discontinued in India in late 2025.
