Suzuki has teased a new two-wheeler for the Indian market on its social media handle. The Japanese brand has confirmed in the post that the new model will be launching on 2 April 2026. However, Suzuki is yet to disclose the name of the model which is slated to launch on the given date. The social media post is accompanied by a caption that reads “The one and only arrives soon.”
The teaser only reveals a twin headlight setup which is very different from any model in Suzuki’s current lineup. In our opinion, the headlight cluster appears to be nestled within a front apron which means it is most likely to be a scooter, more so like a Maxi-style scooter. The only Maxi-style scooter in Suzuki’s present lineup is the Burgman Street.
Going by whatever little evidence we have, Suzuki will probably launch a heavily updated iteration of the Burgman Street. If so, the new Burgman Street is expected to come with several updates over the existing model. The twin LED headlamp cluster looks fresh and will give the scooter a completely new identity. The headlights come integrated with LED DRL eyebrows and a Suzuki logo at the centre.

The new split headlamp design seems to be inspired by its higher-displacement models such as the Burgman 200 and Burgman 400.The Suzuki Burgman Street was first launched in India in 2018. In 2022, Suzuki launched a Street EX variant that came with larger 12-inch rear wheels. However, the scooter has carried over the same design since it was first introduced. A complete design refresh is most likely on cars with the Burgman Street next.

More than just a facelift, Suzuki is likely to provide a generation upgrade to Burgman Street including a new chassis, just like the new Suzuki Access. The new Access has also received a revised engine. While the bore and stroke remain unchanged, several internal components have been updated, including a new camshaft, crankshaft, and crankcase. Despite these changes, output stays the same at 8.4 bhp and 10.2 Nm of peak torque. A similar set of powertrain updates is likely for the Burgman Street which gets the same engine as the Access.
