As per the latest agreement, Tata Motors will supply 35,000 units each of the Tata Yodha pick-up and the Tata Ultra T.7 truck.

Tata Motors has secured its largest-ever commercial vehicle order in Indonesia, with an agreement to supply 70,000 vehicles to support agricultural activities and rural logistics across the country. The order has been placed through PT Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia, a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Tata Motors Limited, marking a significant milestone in the company’s international expansion strategy.

Under the agreement, Tata Motors will supply 35,000 units each of the Tata Yodha pick-up and the Tata Ultra T.7 truck. The vehicles will be deployed by PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, an Indonesian state-owned enterprise focused on modernising agricultural supply chains, strengthening rural cooperatives, and advancing national food security initiatives. The fleet will play a key role in improving farm-to-market connectivity and facilitating regional goods movement across Indonesia.

The deployment will take place under Indonesia’s Koperasi Desa and Kelurahan Merah Putih Project, a major national initiative aimed at strengthening rural infrastructure, livelihoods, and economic resilience. Tata Motors stated that the vehicles will be rolled out through agricultural cooperatives under a structured and phased delivery programme to ensure smooth integration and sustained operational impact nationwide.

Engineered to perform reliably in diverse and demanding operating conditions, the Tata Yodha and Ultra T.7 are designed to reduce logistics costs while enabling efficient and dependable cargo movement. The Tata Yodha is positioned as a rugged last-mile mobility solution, capable of operating in challenging terrain and high-load environments, while the Ultra T.7 is aimed at modern logistics applications, offering a balance of durability, efficiency, uptime, and driver comfort across urban and rural routes.

The Tata Yodha and the Ultra T.7 are designed for sustained performance, high uptime and efficient operating economics. Their deployment will support agricultural logistics in Indonesia by improving connectivity, enabling more efficient movement of goods across rural and regional networks.”

Tata Motors currently offers one of the most comprehensive commercial vehicle portfolios globally, spanning sub-1-tonne cargo vehicles to 60-tonne trucks, and mass mobility solutions ranging from 9-seater to 71-seater configurations. The company has a presence in the commercial vehicle markets of over 40 countries, supported by advanced research and development capabilities and extensive manufacturing expertise.
