Except for the Curvv.ev, Tata Motors has launched its entire EV portfolio in Mauritius.
Tata.ev has launched its electric vehicle range in Mauritius through a partnership with Allied Motors, introducing three models: Tiago.ev, Punch.ev, and Nexon.ev.
The company's electric lineup offers diverse options across different vehicle segments. The Tiago.ev, a compact hatchback, features a 24 kWh battery with a range of 190-210 km. The Punch.ev enters the compact SUV market with a 35 kWh battery and 270-290 km range, while the Nexon.ev tops the range as a full-sized electric SUV with a 45 kWh battery and 350-375 km range. Key technical specifications include instant torque ranging from 190 Nm to 215 Nm across models, with acceleration times up to 8.9 seconds with the Nexon.ev.

The vehicles are backed by comprehensive warranties - 8 years or 1,60,000 km on battery and motor, and 7 years or 1,50,000 km on the vehicle. Additionally, customers receive a complimentary 7.2 kW home charging wall box.
Allied Motors will provide sales and after-sales support, leveraging Tata Motors' technical training to ensure customer satisfaction.

Tata Motors entered Mauritius barely a few weeks after it entered Sri Lanka. While Tata.ev has not specified the official asking price of the EV cars in Mauritius, we reckon the Tiago.ev will be the most affordable of the lot, followed by the Punch.ev and the Nexon.ev slotting as its most premium offering in the country, Additionally, it should also be noted here that the Curvv.ev has been skipped in Mauritius. Hopefully, it will be introduced in the country later, which will then be followed by the Safari.ev and Harrier.ev, both of which are awaiting launch in India as well.
