54,033 units, marking a 12% year-on-year growth
Tata Motors achieved a strong 6.24% YoY increase in total vehicle sales for January 2024, reaching 86,125 units compared to 81,069 units in the same month last year. The growth was fueled by a 12% surge in passenger vehicle sales, totaling 54,033 units.

Tata Motors reached a milestone, surpassing the 50,000-unit mark with a remarkable sales figure of 54,000 units. Tata Motors' SUV segment played an important role in this success, with a 40,000 SUVs sold during the month. Both electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles contributed to this increase, with domestic sales growing by 12% to 53,633 units and exports rising by 32%.

In the medium and heavy commercial vehicle segment, domestic sales slightly dipped to 14,440 units from 14,716 units the previous year. However, the combined figure for domestic and international sales reached 14,972 units, indicating a marginal overall increase.

The outstanding performance of the Nexon and Punch models deserves special mention, as they emerged as industry leaders by surpassing the 17,000-unit mark in sales.
Overall, Tata Motors witnessed a 6% YoY growth in total domestic sales, reaching 84,276 units in January 2024 compared to 79,681 units in the same period last year. While commercial vehicle sales declined by 2%, totaling 32,090 units, passenger vehicle sales, inclusive of EVs, marked a positive growth of 12%, reaching 53,633 units compared to 47,987 vehicles in January 2023.
