Tata Motors will be aiding Uber in electrifying its services across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad
Tata Motors signed an MoU with Uber to bring 25,000 XPRES–T EVs into its premium category service. Tata Motors will be aiding Uber in electrifying its services across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. The company will begin the deliveries of the cars to Uber fleet partners in a phased manner, starting this month.
Shailesh Chandra, MD, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility said, “The XPRES-T EV is a very attractive option both for customers and operators. This partnership will further cement our market position in the fleet segment."
Tata Motors launched the XPRES brand in 2021 which catered exclusively for fleet customers and the XPRES-T EV was the first vehicle to be launched under this brand. Available with 2 range options - 315 km and 277 km, there are two battery capacities on offer too (26 kWh and 25.5 kWh). The cabin is very premium and given that it is a subcompact sedan, the XPRES-T can zip through traffic very easily.
