This price hike is part of the brand’s initiative to offset the rise of input costs.
Tata Motors announced today that the ex-showroom price of all its commercial vehicles will increase by up to 2 per cent. While Tata Motors has not specified how much the price of each commercial vehicle will increase, the brand did confirm though that this new asking price will be effective from April 1 onwards. The Indian manufacturer has decided to offset the rise in input costs incurred by the company, and this price hike will vary as per individual models and their respective variants.
This news comes minutes after Maruti Suzuki announced that it will be hiking the asking price of all its passenger cars by up to 4 per cent from April 2025 onwards. The Indo-Japanese firm cited the same rise in input cost and operational expenses as the reasons behind the hike. Thus showcasing a trend here, where other four-wheeler manufacturers are also expected to follow the same suit.
