The Nexon.ev is the second EV from Tata Motors to receive a full 5 stars in the latest round of crash test results.
Yet another Tata, yet another perfect score. This time it is the subcompact electric SUV from the Indian carmaker, the Tata Nexon.ev has secured a 5-star rating from Bharat NCAP. After the Punch.ev, the Nexon.ev is the second EV from Tata Motors to receive a full 5 stars in the latest round of crash test results. For adult occupant protection, the Tata Nexon.ev scored 29.86 points from a possible 32 points, while for child occupant protection, it scored 44.54 points from 49 points.
Bharat NCAP tested the top-spec Nexon.ev Empowered Long Range, however, the report says that the result is applicable to all its variants. For adult occupant protection, the electric SUV provided adequate to good protection to both the driver and front passenger in the frontal offset crash as well as the side impact test. It scored 14.26 points from 16 for the frontal offset barrier test and 15.60 points from 16 for the side movable barrier test.
On child occupant protection, the safety offered to the child test dummies in the crash tests, 12 points for the performance of the child restraint systems, dropping a few points on the vehicle assessment test score, with nine points out of 13. The dynamic score was 23.95 points from 24 points. Although not stated, it is safe to say that the body structure is stable for the Nexon.ev.

The Nexon.ev comes equipped with comprehensive safety features across all variants, including six airbags, ABS and ESC, three-point seat belts for all seats, and ISOFIX mounts. The Nexon.ev is priced from ₹14.49 lakh to ₹19.29 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
