Tata’s best-selling Nexon gets a new variant with panoramic sunroof for under ₹10 lakh.

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has reached a big milestone by celebrating one million units of the Nexon on Indian roads. To mark this achievement, the company today announced the launch of the Nexon Pure+ PS variant.

Priced at ₹9.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), this new addition is claimed to make the Nexon the first vehicle in the country to offer a panoramic sunroof at a price point below ₹10 lakh.

The introduction of the Pure+ PS variant is a strategic move to bring premium, aspirational features to a broader customer base. Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, noted that the Nexon remains the preferred choice for Indian buyers. He highlighted that as the only SUV in India providing petrol, diesel, CNG, and electric powertrains, the Nexon continues to cater to diverse needs while maintaining its leadership in the compact SUV market.

The new variant is equipped with a range of high-end features designed to enhance the driving experience. Key highlights include a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, a Harman infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, and a six-speaker audio system.

For added safety and convenience, the model includes a high-definition rear-view camera, automatic LED headlamps, and rain-sensing wipers.

Mechanically, the Pure+ PS variant leverages Tata’s powerful 1.2-litre turbo engine for petrol and iCNG versions. It also offers a 1.5-litre diesel powertrain. Customers can choose between manual and automated manual transmissions across these engine options.

Even though it's nine years old, the Nexon continues to sell like hot cakes, and Tata has maintained the lead in the super competitive subcompact SUV segment despite a host of newer rivals launching in recent years.
