Mohan Savarkar - Vice President, Product Line, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., at the milestone celebration ceremony.
Tata Motors today announced that the Nexon has crossed the 5 lakh production milestone. The company's subcompact SUV has been powering through in this segment, given that the customers have three powertrain options to choose from - petrol, diesel and electric. Tata Motors has also been exporting the Nexon to other markets across the world and so demand for the car too is robust, not just in the domestic market but also export markets.
It was in July 2019, that the company celebrated the 1 lakh production milestone for the Nexon and in just under 4 years, the company has been able to cross the 5 lakh production mark. The Tata Nexon has performed brilliantly for the company as it is packed with features and gets a 5 star safety rating as well.
The company through the limited edition and dark edition models has been able to keep its customers interested in the product and the strategy has clearly worked, as in a crowded subcompact SUV segment, the Nexon still brings in the numbers for the company.
