Besides the revamped exterior styling, the 2026 Tata Punch EV will also come with two new colour schemes — Bengal Rouge and Yellow.
Tata Motors will officially launch the Punch EV tomorrow. Launched in early 2024, this will be the first significant update to the electric subcompact SUV. The company has already revealed the design of the updated Punch EV in its entirety. As expected, the 2026 Punch EV looks heavily inspired by its combustion engine sibling which received its mid-cycle facelift last month.
Ahead of its launch, let us look at what else to expect from the upcoming Tata Punch EV in terms of features, specifications and prices.
The most significant features upgrade in the Punch EV facelift will be a larger 12.3-inch infotainment system running the new software interface seen on the Nexon EV. Expected feature highlights include a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, wireless smartphone charging, a 360-degree camera, a six-speaker sound system, an auto-dimming IRVM, connected car tech, and ambient lighting.

The Punch EV facelift is also likely to strengthen its safety credentials by offering a Level 2 ADAS suite as part of the overall package, although it isn’t confirmed yet.
The outgoing Tata Punch EV is offered with two battery pack choices — 25 kWh and 35 kWh — delivering claimed ARAI-certified ranges of 265 km and 365 km, respectively. The motor paired with the 25 kWh battery produces 81 bhp and 114 Nm of torque, while the larger 35 kWh pack is matched with a more potent unit generating 120 bhp and 190 Nm of peak torque. There are rumours of Tata bringing in a larger 45 kWh battery that is used in the Tata Nexon EV. However, there’s no confirmation on the same.

The current Tata Punch EV is priced between ₹9.99 lakh and ₹14.44 lakh (ex-showroom). We expect a marginal price hike of around ₹10,000–20,000 on existing variants. If a larger battery pack is indeed introduced, prices for the higher trims could increase further. Upon launch, the Tata Punch EV will continue to rival the Citroen eC3.
