The Tata Sierra EV is here and it is placed between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV in the brand’s lineup.
The Tata Sierra EV has been launched in India at a starting price of ₹18.79 lakh, going all the way up to ₹25.99 lakh for the top-end QWD variant, both ex-showroom. Bookings for the electric SUV are open, with deliveries commencing from 15 July 2026.
The functional, blacked-out grille of the combustion engine variant gives way to a sleek, body-coloured sealed panel, while the lower front bumper sports a glossy black finish complemented by a striking faux silver skid plate at the chin. From the side and rear, the sole distinguishing elements are the distinctive 'Sierra.ev' chrome badges adorning the front doors and tailgate. Tata also introduces the EV in exclusive paint options.
The interior closely mirrors its sibling. Positioned as a technology-driven flagship, the higher trims of the Sierra EV come equipped with an advanced triple-screen dashboard arrangement. This setup most likely comprises a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver, a large 12.3-inch central touchscreen infotainment system, and a separate 12.3-inch entertainment display for the front passenger.
Crucially, the infotainment architecture debuts an India-first EV route planner for Android Auto. This feature delivers an integrated driver experience by providing intelligent route planning, accurate range prediction, and real-time energy monitoring. To completely alleviate range anxiety, it tracks consumption on the go and automatically plans required charging stops with dynamic re-routing capabilities.
Comfort features include a large panoramic glass sunroof, electronically adjustable multi-way front seats with ventilation, a high-end multi-speaker sound system, and customisable driving modes. On the safety front, the flagship SUV boasts advanced Level 2+ ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) to ensure top-tier preventative safety on Indian roads.
Beneath the surface, the Sierra EV shares significant DNA with the Harrier EV, riding on the brand's highly modular and safe acti.ev+ platform. The SUV carries over the Harrier EV's dual-battery choices, comprising a base 63 kWh pack that delivers a claimed range of 565 km, and an extended-range 75 kWh pack pushing the claimed range up to 665 km.

In its most powerful avatar, the SUV generates a substantial 504 Nm of torque. While the base models use a rear-wheel-drive configuration, the top-end variants come standard with a dual-motor, Quad-Wheel Drive (QWD) setup capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.8 seconds. Providing ultimate peace of mind to buyers, Tata is offering a lifetime battery warranty on the high-voltage pack.
Charging infrastructure compatibility is equally robust. The electric SUV supports 120 kW DC fast charging, which allows the battery to juice up from 20% to 80% in just 26 minutes. For quick highway top-ups, the fast charging capability can add over 250 km of range in a mere 15 minutes. Furthermore, the Sierra EV features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability with a power output of up to 3.3 kW, effectively turning the vehicle into a high-capacity power bank to run external electrical appliances.
The SUV enters an increasingly crowded mid-size electric segment, competing directly with models such as the Hyundai Creta EV, Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, Mahindra BE 6, and the MG ZS EV.
