After a long anticipation, Tata Motors launched the all-new Sierra earlier this month and it seems to have been welcomed with open arms. The company claims that the mid-size SUV has recorded 70,000 bookings within the first 24 hours of it going live. Additionally, 1.35 lakh customers have submitted their preferred configuration of the new Tata Sierra.

Speaking about the booking milestone, Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, said, “We sincerely thank our customers for this overwhelming response which reaffirms the legendary status of the Tata Sierra.” The new Tata Sierra was launched on 25 November 2025 while bookings for the same commenced on 15 December.

Prices for Tata Sierra start from ₹11.49 lakh and go up to ₹21.29 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). Deliveries for the Sierra will begin in January 2026. Tata Motors is offering the Sierra in seven trims, namely Smart+, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Adventure+, Accomplished, and Accomplished+.

Tata Sierra Specs

The upcoming Tata Sierra will be available with both internal combustion and fully electric powertrain options, with the ICE versions already confirmed and the EV variants expected to arrive in early 2026. The ICE lineup will feature the well-known 1.5-litre Kryojet turbo-diesel from the Nexon and Curvv, alongside a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit.

Depending on the engine, transmission options will include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque-converter automatic, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. Initially, the Sierra will be offered in a front-wheel-drive configuration, with Tata Motors confirming that an all-wheel-drive version will follow at a later stage.
