Tata Motors has expanded its Xpres range for fleet operators with new variants. The Tata Xpress is the fleet-optimised version of the Tigor subcompact sedan, and is now available in petrol and twin-cylinder CNG options. The Tata Xpres petrol is priced at ₹5.59 lakh, while the CNG version is priced at ₹6.59 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom, Delhi). The new variants join the Xpres EV in the brand’s portfolio, aiming to address a larger market.

The new Tata Xpress petrol and CNG versions come with the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The CNG version comes with a first-in-segment 70-litre twin cylinders placed in the boot. However, unlike the single-cylinder variant, the sedan gets a more usable boot. While Tata has not revealed the exact number on the Xpres CNG version, the Tigor CNG offers up to 205 litres of boot capacity. Meanwhile, the Xpres petrol gets a more generous 419 litres of boot capacity.

Speaking about expanding to new variants, Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, said, “Tata XPRES was created to address the real operating challenges faced by fleet customers, including passengers and owners. Responding to the needs of our fleet customers, we are elated to introduce the first-in-segment 70-litre twin-cylinder CNG variant with best-in-segment usable boot space, alongside a petrol variant with the largest boot space. Built on our proven 1.2-litre Revotron powertrain and supported by long-term warranty, tailored finance and dedicated fleet dealerships, Tata Xpres fleet with its complete range of electric and ICE powertrains will offer a complete, future-ready mobility platform to our customers, in turn expanding our market share across India’s commercial mobility landscape.”
Both the petrol and CNG versions will come with 3 years/100,000 km warranty as standard. Tata claims a low cost of maintenance at $0.47/km, and is offering extendable warranty up to five years or 180,000 km (whichever is earlier). The automaker has also announced exclusive fleet-focused dealerships across select cities, ensuring dedicated sales and service support for fleet customers. Fleet buyers also get faster turnaround, higher vehicle availability, and consistent support across the vehicle’s lifecycle.
