Tesla Model Y L Six-Seater Deliveries Start In India

Tesla on Monday said it has started deliveries of the newly introduced Model Y L in India, marking the arrival of its six-seater configuration in the market. The initial batch has been handed over to customers through the company’s direct-to-consumer sales model, aimed at ensuring a consistent ownership experience and streamlined deliveries. Tesla Model Y L is positioned as a family-oriented offering, with a claimed range of up to 681 km (WLTP) and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds. 

The model also offers up to 2,539 litres of cargo capacity, with a focus on interior space and flexibility.

Pricing for the Model Y L starts at ₹61,99,000. The company has also introduced a financing programme, with monthly payments beginning at ₹49,990 and a minimum down payment of ₹6,50,000, aimed at lowering the upfront cost of ownership.

Alongside this, Tesla has launched the 2026 Tesla Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive in India, a new variant of the Model Y lineup. The five-seater version offers storage capacity of 2,138 litres and is designed to accommodate up to five occupants.

The rear-wheel-drive variant is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and delivers a range of up to 500 km (WLTP). It is priced at ₹50,89,000, with deliveries scheduled to begin in July 2026.
