The Tesla Model Y L gets an elongated wheelbase along with a larger battery and more powerful electric motor over the regular Model Y.

Tesla has launched a new variant of the Model Y which comes with an extended wheelbase and an extra row of seats. Called the Model Y L, this is the third variant in the Model Y range after Standard Rear-Wheel Drive and Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive variants that were launched. Here’s how the new Tesla Model Y L is different from the other two variants.

Tesla Model Y vs Model Y L: Exterior

The exterior of all Model Y variants are similar to each other barring the alloy wheel design. From the side, the L variant stands out with its longer rear doors and a subtly revised roofline that incorporates a larger rear quarter glass. At the rear, it also features a more prominent boot-lid spoiler. Tesla’s signature full-width LED light bars at the front and rear remain unchanged.
