Toyota’s hot-selling Fortuner keeps getting dearer.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced a price revision for its popular SUV, the Fortuner, across all available variants in the Indian market. The price hike ranges from ₹60,000 to ₹87,000, bringing the new starting price of the range to ₹34.76 lakh. The top tier GR-S 4x4 automatic diesel variant now carries an ex-showroom price of ₹50.46 lakh.
The entry level petrol 4x2 automatic model saw a price increase of ₹60,000. For diesel enthusiasts, the 4x2 manual variant is now priced at ₹35.4 lakh, while the 4x2 automatic has moved up to ₹37.61 lakh. The 4x4 manual diesel has also become dearer by ₹67,000, reaching a new price of ₹39.35 lakh.
Premium variants have faced even sharper increases. The Legender series now starts at ₹42.92 lakh for the 4x2 automatic diesel, while the 4x4 automatic version equipped with a mild hybrid system is priced at ₹43.12 lakh. The Legender 4x4 manual is now available at ₹45.08 lakh.

Mechanically, the Fortuner remains unchanged. The 2.7-litre petrol engine continues to deliver approximately 164 bhp. The 2.8 litre diesel engine remains the powerhouse of the lineup, producing nearly 201 bhp and up to 500 Nm of torque in its automatic avatar. Select diesel variants also benefit from a 48V mild hybrid system designed to enhance fuel efficiency.
This price adjustment comes amidst Toyota reporting a strong sales performance, with a 19% year on year growth in the first four months of 2026. Despite the rising costs, the Fortuner continues to dominate the premium ladder frame SUV segment with its reputation for reliability and rugged off-road capabilities.
