The Toyota Glanza facelift is expected to arrive with more creature comfort and safety tech, along with a brand new engine under the bonnet.
Toyota India is all set to bring the Glanza facelift to the market on October 14, 2026. The premium hatchback is all set to get a midlife update, just weeks after its badge-engineered sibling, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno got one. The latest teasers promise a restyled front profile, while the cabin is expected to arrive with big changes, including more creature comfort and safety tech. The big upgrade is expected under the bonnet with a new engine in place.
The Toyota Glanza facelift is expected to arrive with a reworked front. The hatchback will sport a new mesh-style grille surrounded by brushed silver accents. The Toyota logo will rest on the edge of the bonnet instead of the grille, most likely to make way for the ADAS module. The teaser indicates new silver garnish on the bumper, while the circular fog lamps have made way for rectangular ones. The air intakes are also revised with a new hexagonal pattern.
The profile is expected to remain largely unchanged, save for a new set of alloy wheels. We could see additional garnish on the front fender, while changes to the rear are likely to be minimal, much like the Baleno facelift.
The cabin is expected to sport more important upgrades in the form of new ventilated front seats, a cooled wireless charging pad, and a premium audio system. The hatchback will also come with ADAS, bringing key features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision control, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), high beam assist, and more.
Toyota will carry over the existing set of features, comprising the head-up display (HUD), a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree view camera, rear AC vents, and more. Don’t expect a sunroof on the hatchback, which should keep prices competitive.
Power on the new Glanza facelift is expected to come from the new 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine, replacing the 1.2-litre four-cylinder K-Series petrol engine. Much like the Baleno, expect this motor to make about 81 bhp and 112 Nm of peak torque, while paired with a 5-speed manual and an AMT. A CNG version will also be on sale, which will use the same engine with power detuned to 69 bhp and 102 Nm.
It’ll be interesting to see if Toyota offers the CNG+AMT combination on the Glanza facelift right from the start. The feature will certainly appeal to wider buyers who want convenience with a low operating cost, and Toyota’s fuss-free service. Prices should be identical on the facelifted version, with the top trims commanding a marginal premium. The Toyota Glanza is presently priced from ₹6.73 lakh (ex-showroom). More details on the Glanza facelift will be available tomorrow. Keep watching this space for all the action.
