Toyota Innova Hycross Crosses 2 Lakh Sales Milestone in India

Toyota has announced that it has achieved cumulative sales of 2 lakh units of the Innova Hycross in India.

The brand claims that this accomplishment reflects customer confidence in the Toyota brand, particularly in its advanced self-charging hybrid technology, and underscores the rising appeal of the model while reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering sustainable mobility solutions through a multi-pathway approach.

Built on Toyota’s New Global Architecture (TNGA), the Innova Hycross is priced from ₹19.53 lakh (ex-showroom). Select hybrid variants come with an 8-year warranty on the self-charging battery. The MPV has also secured a 5-star rating under Bharat NCAP, reinforcing its focus on safety, efficiency and advanced engineering in the premium segment.

The Toyota Innova Hycross is available in India with two 2.0-litre powertrain options, both paired with automatic transmissions. The standard 2.0-litre petrol engine delivers 173 bhp of power at 6600 rpm and a peak torque of 209 Nm between 4500-4896 rpm, using a CVT gearbox. On the other hand, the 2.0-litre Strong Hybrid variant combines a petrol engine with an electric motor to produce a combined system output of 184 bhp. While the hybrid's engine alone produces 188 Nm of torque, the electric motor provides an additional 206 Nm, all managed through an e-CVT system for better fuel efficiency.

In terms of performance and size, the Hycross is built on a monocoque chassis with a wheelbase of 2850 mm, offering significant cabin room for its 7-seater and 8-seater configurations. Both models come equipped with a 52-litre fuel tank and measure 4755 mm in length, making it a substantial upgrade in size and tech over previous generations.
