Toyota and Lexus patrons will gain access to a network of over 12,000 Tesla Superchargers throughout North America.
Toyota Motor North America, Inc. (TMNA) revealed its partnership with Tesla, Inc. to adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS) for its battery electric vehicles (BEVs), commencing in 2025. This decision aligns with Toyota's commitment to providing customers with a diverse range of electrified powertrain options. Consequently, Toyota and Lexus patrons will gain convenient access to an extensive network of over 12,000 Tesla Superchargers throughout North America.

Toyota will introduce NACS ports into specific Toyota and Lexus BEVs, starting with the all-new, three-row battery-electric Toyota SUV, which will be manufactured at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky (TMMK) facility. Furthermore, Toyota and Lexus vehicles equipped with the Combined Charging System (CCS) will be allowed to utilise an adapter for NACS charging, commencing in 2025.

Through the Toyota and Lexus apps, customers can access an extensive charging network, which includes over 84,000 charging ports across North America, encompassing both level 2 and DC fast chargers. By incorporating NACS, Toyota aims to expand the range of charging options, particularly in the realm of DC fast chargers, which will enhance customers' confidence when traveling to various destinations.
