Toyota India has launched the Rumion MPV in the country and prices begin from Rs. 10.29 lakh. The company has also opened bookings for the car at an amount of Rs. 11,000. This launch marks the fourth collaborative model between Toyota and Maruti Suzuki. Toyota's MPV lineup is now the most extensive in the market, encompassing the entry-level Rumion, followed by the premium Innova Crysta, Innova Hycross, and the Vellfire.
The Rumion MPV is priced between Rs. 10.29 to 13.68 lakh (ex-showroom India). To put things into perspective the Rumion is about Rs. 1.65 lakh more expensive than the Ertiga when compared to the base variant and Rs. 60,000 dearer compared to the top-end variant.
Here are the variant-wise prices of the Toyota Rumion for you
Variant | Price (ex-showroom India) |
---|---|
S MT | Rs. 10.29 lakh |
S AT | Rs. 11.89 lakh |
G MT | Rs. 11.45 lakh |
V MT | Rs. 12.18 lakh |
V AT | Rs. 13.68 lakh |

The Rumion MPV is based on the Ertiga and its exterior features minor alterations to its plastic components compared to Maruti Suzuki’s MPV. Notable changes include a new bumper with redesigned fog lamp surrounds, a grille reminiscent of the Innova Crysta's, and fresh dual-tone alloy wheels.
Inside, the dashboard is presented in a blacked-out style with wood-like inserts. Upholstery, akin to the Ertiga, is in a beige finish. The vehicle's equipment list remains unchanged as well, and it maintains a 7-seater layout akin to the Ertiga. Interestingly, the Rumion is also exported to markets such as South Africa, where it retains the same specifications as the domestic version.
Powering the Toyota Rumion is the familiar 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine sourced from Maruti. This engine generates 103 bhp and 137 Nm of torque. It comes with the option of a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
The Rumion will be available in 3 variants S, G and V. The mid-variant G is only available with a manual transmission while the rest are available with manual and automatic. The S variant also has CNG on offer.
This 7-seater MPV with the petrol engine returns a fuel efficiency of 20.51 kmpl and 26.11 km/kg for the CNG variant.
