Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is all set to enter the electric vehicle segment in India, and is expected to be unveiling the Urban Cruiser EV for India on January 20, 2026. The Toyota Urban Cruiser EV was first showcased in the country at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January last year, soon after its global debut. The all-electric will be joining a heavily contested electric midsize SUV segment taking on the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, MG Windsor, and its own sibling, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. Here’s what you can expect from the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV.
Toyota Urban Cruiser EV: Styling
The Urban Cruiser EV is the first electric offering to come from the Toyota-Suzuki partnership. The model shares its underpinnings with the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara but gets a distinctly different exterior, in line with Toyota’s design language. The model gets pixel-themed LED DRLs, LED headlamps, and a muscular bumper. The rear sports connected taillights, in line with the trend, along with lower black cladding across the car’s exterior.
