The new Triumph 350 cc motorcycle range will be limited to the Indian market
Triumph Motorcycles has shared a BYD signalling the fact that the 350 cc range of motorcycles will be launched in India on April 6. The new range of Triumph 350 cc motorcycles were developed because of the new GST rules that taxed bikes above 350 cc displacement at 40 per cent as opposed to the erstwhile 28 per cent.

Since Triumph’s entire India portfolio was 350 cc and above, the brand took a hit even after Bajaj Auto absorbed the GST addition until late 2025. The new Triumph 350 cc motorcycles are limited to the Indian market and international-spec bikes will continue to be powered by the 400 cc engines.
The upcoming bikes will include the Triumph Speed 350, Scrambler 350 and the Thruxton 350. While we still don’t have details regarding the engine apart from its displacement, we expect the displacement loss of almost 50 cc should result in a power loss of close to 5 bhp. Despite the drop in power, the Triumph Speed 350 will still hold an upper hand in comparison to its rivals such as the RE Classic 350 or even the Honda CB 350. How will the displacement drop the performance of the Triumph Scrambler 350 and the Thruxton 350 remains to be seen.
While enthusiasts wouldn’t appreciate the drop in performance, with this new engine, the Triumph motorcycles will come with a more competitive price tag. Our estimate is that the Triumph 350 cc range will receive a price cut of around ₹15,000-20,000 over the existing pricing and that’s a big price cut for the consumers.
