The Triumph T4 is the most affordable bike in the new Bonneville family.
The much-awaited Triumph Bonneville has been launched in the Indian market. The new Triumph roadster is offered in three variants - Bonneville T4, Bonneville T40 and T40 Black. The new Triumph Bonneville T4 is the most affordable variant of the bike and deliveries for the bike will commence next year, here are few of its key highlights.
Simpler Lines
The basic styling and form factor of the Bonneville T4 is similar to the T40. It looks like a scaled down version of the Bonnevilles from the past and has proper retro styling elements which makes it look beautiful. The only difference comes in the form of the colour shades and graphics. The Bonneville T4 gets a Triumph logo sticker instead of a 3D emblem, there is no dual tone finish on the tank and even the tank pads are missing. Even the Bonneville logo on the centre panel is simple and honestly looks very clean. The base Bonneville is available in three colour shades - Red, Black and Green.

Features Chopped
The Bonneville T4 also misses out on some features to ensure the pricing is kept under check. Instead of a TFT instrument console, the bike features a LCD digital display and conventional turn-by-turn navigation instead of maps. Although it gets ride modes, Triumph hasn’t confirmed whether or not it sports a custom ride mode as seen on the Bonneville T40. Cruise control and traction control too have been given a miss. Also, the cornering ABS has been skipped for a conventional dual-channel ABS.
Same Heart
On the mechanical end no changes have been made. The Bonneville T4 will be powered by a 349 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled TR series motor. The engine delivers 29.1 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 31.2 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The bike employs a 6-speed gearbox. So with respect to performance there shouldn’t be any difference between the Bonneville T4 and T40 range of bikes.
Unchanged Hardware

The same tale continues with respect to the hardware. The T4 rides on a tubular steel frame which is different to that of the Triumph Speed 400. Suspension hardware consists of a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers, making it the only bike in the Triumph 400 series to not feature a monoshock. Seat height is accessible at 790 mm and the bike weighs 191 kg. It rides on 18/17-inch spoke wheels which aren’t tubeless and sadly alloy wheels aren’t offered even as an option.
Price & Delivery Timeline
The Triumph Bonneville T4 retails for ₹2.55 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable variant of the new Bonneville 350 cc range. Online bookings for the bike has started and deliveries for the first lot of the Triumph Bonneville T4 will commence from the second week of January, 2027. It will compete with the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Jawa 350 and the Honda CB350
