There are quite a few varied options in the market for the asking price of the supersport
Triumph has launched the Daytona 660 in India, priced at ₹9.72 lakh (ex-showroom). This supersport bike has a sharp design and revives the iconic Daytona moniker. Having said that, it is the most expensive vehicle on the Triumph 660 triple platform. If you're in the market to purchase this machine, here are a few other options to consider as well.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR is a 400cc bike priced at ₹9.10 lakh, but don't let its engine size fool you - it's a purpose-built track machine with a singular focus on performance, churning out 76.4bhp (that bumps up to 78.7 bhp with RAM air intake) and 37.6Nm. The ZX-4RR offers a more exciting package, with its high-revving engine, quickshifter, and top-notch suspension, making it a more appealing choice for track enthusiasts who prioritise performance over displacement. It won’t be ideal as an everyday rider though and paying that much moolah for a 400 cc bike is rather a tough choice to make.

With its inline-four engine, the Kawasaki Z900 not only boasts an extra cylinder but also delivers a significantly higher 123.6bhp and 98.6Nm engine output. It presents itself to be a more value-packed option for those seeking a powerful and feature-rich naked bike, making it a strong contender in this segment. And with the current iteration having more electronic aids and a few more bells and whistles on offer, it becomes a more well-rounded package.
The Triumph Bonneville T100 is a modern classic roadster that features a 900cc parallel-twin engine producing 64bhp and 80 Nm. With its classic design and relaxed riding posture, it's perfect for calm yet energetic riding. While not intended for cutting-edge performance, it's paired with a 5-speed gearbox and slipper clutch for seamless power delivery, ideal for touring or cruising.

The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE's ₹10.30 lakh price tag positions it as a premium rival to the Triumph Daytona 660. However, the V-Strom 800DE boasts a larger 776cc parallel-twin engine producing 84.3bhp and 78Nm.t has impressive tech features on board and the adventure touring posture makes it an excellent choice for navigating both city streets and broken roads.
The Ducati Scrambler Icon, priced at ₹10.39 lakh, offers a distinct blend of style, performance, and brand heritage. The Scrambler Icon bears its characteristic 803cc air-cooled L-twin engine, churning out 73bhp and 65.2Nm. The Scrambler Icon has quite a bit of modernity hidden in its retro-ish garb, like LED lighting, a 4.3-inch colour TFT dashboard, ride-by-wire, two riding modes, and lean-sensitive traction control. The Scrambler Icon's Ducati badge, decent tech, and everyday usability make it an attractive alternative for those seeking a premium riding experience with a touch of Italian flair.
