Triumph hasn’t revealed if any units of the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition have been allocated for the Indian market or not.
Triumph’s modern classic range is one of the most gorgeous pieces of motorcycles on sale across the globe and the Speed Twin 1200 arguably sits on top of it. The British bikemaker has now unveiled a new Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition. Limited to only 800 units worldwide, this special edition model of the Speed Twin 1200 is priced at $18,895 (approx. ₹17.31 lakh).
As expected, the new special edition model of the Speed Twin 1200 gets Cafe Racer highlights that take inspiration from the British cafe racers of the 1960s thus setting it apart from the standard Speed Twin 1200 RS. These include clip-on handlebars in place of the RS’s flat bars, a single-seat setup with a brown bullet seat and removable cowl, and the removal of the pillion pegs as standard.

The bike is wrapped in an exclusive dual-tone colour scheme comprising Competition Green and Aluminium Silver along with Empire Gold highlights on the front forks and rear suspension canisters. These are complemented by matching wheels and a colour-coded headlamp cowl. Each motorcycle is accompanied by a numbered certificate, highlighting Triumph’s intent to position it as a more exclusive offering than a simple cosmetic update, even though the mechanical package remains identical to the RS.
Suspension duties are carried out by a fully-adjustable Marzocchi fork up front and twin Öhlins shocks at the rear. Stopping duties are handled by Brembo Stylema callipers gripping 320 mm disc brakes up front and Nissin callipers holding on to a single 220 mm rear disc. The bike continues to roll on the same Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tyres as the regular Speed Twin 1200.

However, the clip-on handlebars create a lower, more committed riding position, leaning the rider forward in line with the café racer ethos and placing greater weight over the front end. In terms of features, the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer gets three ride modes (Road, Rain, and Sport), Optimized Cornering ABS and Traction Control, and Triumph Shift Assist, as well as a USB-C charging port.

Triumph is also offering LCD and TFT screens housed within a traditional circular clock that packs phone connectivity and navigation. Powering the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer is a 1200 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that pushes out 103.5 bhp at 7,750 rpm and a peak torque of 112 Nm at 4,250 rpm. Power is transferred to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox and a slip and assist clutch.
