The Triumph 400 cc family which includes the Speed and Scrambler series of motorcycles have been warmly received by bikers both domestically and internationally. The British brand though isn’t slowing down yet as it’s working on further expanding this family. We know that the Triumph Scrambler 400 XC will be the next bike to be launched and even prices for the same have been leaked, and the other motorcycle is a cafe racer which has been spotted testing on numerous occasions.
However, fresh spy shots from Europe indicate that Triumph has already commenced development of another bike on this platform. The motorcycle being tested looks more rugged than the standard Speed 400, but not as off-road focused as the Scrambler. The new bike could be called the Triumph Street Scrambler 400. The rear design is distinctive compared to the standard bike and even the centre panel design could be different as they were camouflaged.

The fuel tank shape and size seems to be the same but the handlebar has been sourced from the Scrambler and so is the LED headlight. One of the biggest negatives of the Triumph Speed 400 is the visual appearance of the bike as it looks a bit too compact and petite, maybe the Street Scrambler 400 could fix this issue.

The upcoming Triumph bike will feature the same 398.15 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled mill delivering 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm. It will be paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch and ride-by-wire throttle control. On the mechanical side, the frame, suspension, wheels and braking hardware will be shared with the Speed 400. So while the new Triumph Street Scrambler 400 might look rugged, it’s a road-focused machine. We expect the bike to make its debut by late 2025 or early 2026 and it will be positioned between the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X.
