The asking price of the bike has also been increased due to this new addition.
After introducing a bunch of special edition models, TVS has decided to take matters up a notch with the Apache RTR 160 4V. As part of this strategy, the brand has equipped the naked bike with a 37 mm USD fork, thus bringing it on par with its competition which includes the Bajaj Pulsar N160 and the Hero Xtreme 160 4V.
Besides this hardware gain, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V has remained more or less the same. It continues to be powered by the same 159.7 cc, oil-cooled, 4-valve engine that produces 17.31 bhp and 14.73 Nm. To access the full spectrum of this performance, there are three ride modes on offer – Sport, Rain and Urban. The addition of ride modes makes the Apache RTR 160 4V, the only bike in its segment to get this feature. For safety, dual-channel ABS is available as standard.
Styling-wise, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V was quite the radical-looking bike with aggressive cuts and creases. The same has continued with the updated model as well, however, there are three new colour options available now – Granite Grey, Matte Black, and Pearl White. Similarly, on the features front, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V sees no changes or additions at all. The same set of all-LED headlight and taillight, along with the plethora of features that come with TVS’ SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity system continue as it is.
The introduction of a new feature has pushed the asking price though, and the new 2024 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is now priced at ₹1.32 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). “Built on a rich racing legacy, the TVS Apache Series proudly serves over 5.5 million enthusiasts, making it one of the fastest-growing premium motorcycle brands globally. We are committed to meeting the evolving needs of our customers by integrating performance, technology, and style. By constantly evolving in our set of offerings, we have set new benchmarks for performance motorcycles in India,” concluded Vimal Sumbly, Head of Business – Premium, TVS Motor Company
