In India, TVS Apache RTR 180 is priced between ₹1.26 lakh and ₹1.29 lakh (both prices mentioned are ex-showroom).
TVS Motor Company has launched the Apache RTR 180 in Kenya. The Hosur-based bike manufacturer has associated with its long-standing distribution partner in Africa – Car & General – for this venture. The introduction of the Apache nameplate in Kenya marks a major milestone for the Indian bikemaker.
The naked bike will be available across 12 Car & General dealerships in Kenya at a price of KES 269,990 (approx. ₹1.85 lakh). It will be offered in four colour schemes including Pearl White, Matte Blue, Gloss Black and Matte Grey. Part of the company’s “Track to Road” philosophy, TVS has sold over 6.5 million units of Apache in over 60 countries.
Commenting on the launch, Peyman Kargar, President – International Business, TVS Motor Company, said, “Kenya is central to TVSM’s continental ambitions, given its role as a regional commercial hub and its influence on motorcycle culture across East Africa. The nation’s growing community of discerning riders and evolving urban infrastructure makes it the ideal market for the Apache’s debut.”
Powering the TVS Apache RTR 180 is a 177.4cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that produces 16.5 bhp at 8,500rpm and peak torque of 15.5 Nm at 7,000rpm. This motor is paired with a slip and assist clutch. The hardware setup includes telescopic front fork and gas-charged twin rear shocks. Braking is handled by a 270mm front petal disc and a 200mm rear rotor, with single-channel ABS offered as standard.
TVSM’s R&D investments have risen sharply over the past few years—from ₹495 crore in FY 2022-23 to a record ₹1,025 crore in FY2024-25 — with more focus towards smarter, cleaner, and more connected mobility. This effort is powered by a strong team of over 2,000 engineers, manufacturing experts, and IT specialists, underscoring the company’s commitment to engineering excellence and advanced design.
Focused on delivering clean, connected, and technologically advanced mobility solutions for global markets, the company continues to strengthen its innovation capabilities and maintain a competitive edge. TVS Motor is internationally recognised for its engineering, innovation, and quality, with its products sold in more than 90 countries across Asia, Latin America, and Africa. Driven by racing DNA, the TVS Apache brand continues to elevate performance standards worldwide and is steadily expanding its footprint in Europe, particularly Italy.
