TVS Jupiter Breaches 9 Million Domestic Sales

TVS Jupiter is the second best-selling scooter in India after Honda Activa.

TVS Motor Company has crossed a major milestone. The Hosur-based two-wheeler manufacturer has crossed 9 million sales of Jupiter in the domestic market. The scooter was first launched as a 110 cc scooter in 2013. Later, the company added a 125 cc iteration of Jupiter to the lineup in 2021. 

 

The sales figure includes numbers of both 110 cc and 125 cc iteration of Jupiter sold in the domestic market. According to a report by Autocar Professional, TVS sold as many as 90,10,180 units till March-end this year. At the same time, around 1.54 lakh units of TVS Jupiter have also been exported over the last 13 fiscal years.

 

In FY2026, TVS Jupiter recorded its highest-ever annual sales in India at 14,63,328 units, marking a strong 32% year-on-year (YoY) growth. This was an increase of 356,043 units over FY2025’s total of 11,07,285 units, making it the second consecutive fiscal year in which the scooter crossed the one-million sales mark. On average, TVS sold around 4,009 Jupiter scooters every day during FY2026.

This impressive performance also increased the Jupiter’s contribution to TVS’ record total scooter sales of 2.30 million units, with its share rising to 64% from 61% in FY2025.The report also states that TVS sold its most recent one million Jupiter units in just eight months, significantly faster than the previous million-unit milestone, which took 11 months to achieve.

 

The Jupiter has been instrumental in strengthening TVS’s presence in the scooter segment. Over the years, the company’s market share has risen from 12.68 percent in FY2014 to a record 28 percent in FY2026, placing it second only to Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, which leads the market with a 39 percent share.

TVS Jupiter: Specs & Price

TVS Jupiter 110 is powered by a 113.3 cc single-cylinder engine which makes around 8 bhp and 9.8 Nm of peak torque. It is available in five variants priced between ₹73,550 and ₹88,625 (both ex-showroom). On the other hand, the Jupiter 125 is offered in four variants priced between ₹83,890 and ₹88,625 (both ex-showroom). The Jupiter 125 is powered by a 125 cc, air-cooled engine incorporating a two-valve head that produces 8.2 bhp and 10.5 Nm of peak torque.
