Jupiter alone accounts for an impressive 62.78 % of scooter sales from 96,96,222 units which were sold from FY2014.
TVS Motor Company‘s family scooter range, the TVS Jupiter, has achieved a remarkable feat by crossing the 6 million units sales mark in India. This scooter has been a key player for TVS, contributing 63 percent to the company's scooter sales since the fiscal year 2014.
Launched in India on September 16, 2013, the TVS Jupiter has consistently performed well in the highly competitive scooter market. In a decade, it has garnered the attention of 60,87,695 buyers across the country. The last million units were sold in just 16 months, with the 5-million landmark achieved in June 2022.
TVS has strategically introduced variants and upgrades, ensuring it stays competitive and meets the diverse preferences of customers. The introduction of the Jupiter 125 cc in October 2021 has been particularly successful, offering unique features such as the largest under-seat storage, segment-leading longest seat and high mileage.
In response to festive season demand, TVS recently launched new variants, including the Jupiter ZX Drum with SmartXonnect technology and the Jupiter 125 SmartXonnect with a Bluetooth-connected TFT digital cluster.
Jupiter's success has significantly contributed to TVS Motor Company’s overall standing in India's scooter market. The company's scooter market share has surged to 25 per cent, making it the second-largest player after Honda, which holds a 44 per cent share in the April-October 2023 period.
As TVS Motor Co continues to ride the success wave of the Jupiter, the scooter's strong growth trajectory is expected to persist in the coming months. With its consistent performance and innovative updates, the TVS Jupiter remains a force to be reckoned with in the Indian scooter market.
