The new NTorq 150 marks TVS’ entry into the sporty 150cc+ scooter segment.
TVS Motor Company has launched the much-awaited NTorq 150 in India at ₹1.19 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It’s available in two variants – NTorq 150 and Ntorq 150 TFT – with the latter being priced at ₹1.29 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The NTorq 150 looks like an evolution of the NTorq 125 but with hints of the TVS X electric scooter. It gets four projector lamps and boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, which is unlike the NTorq 125 which gets a single-piece unit. The NTorq 150 also gets winglets on either side. The body panels are also an evolution of the NTorq 125. Even the taillamps of the NTorq 150 are new, but still come with a T-shape motif like the NTorq 125.

The top-spec NTorq 150 TFT comes with the same 5-inch TFT as seen on the Apache RTR 310, even the switch gear has been borrowed from the motorcycle. The base-spec comes with a split-view console (TFT+LCD hybrid unit) that was seen on the NTorq 125’s XT variant. The NTorq 150 gets two ride modes – Street and Race – and comes with smartwatch and smartphone connectivity, Alexa integration, USB port in the boot, OTA updates, turn-by-turn navigation and more.

Both the variants of the NTorq 150 are powered by an air-cooled, 149.7 cc engine producing 13 bhp and 14.2 Nm. TVS claims a 0-60 kmph time of 6.3 seconds and a top speed of 104 kmph. The NTorq 150 also comes with TVS’ i-Go boost assist function that adds 0.7 Nm (included in the 14.2 Nm figure). It has the same 5.8-litre fuel tank as the NTorq 125.

The dimensions of the NTorq 150 haven’t changed much compared to the NTorq 125. The length (1861 mm), wheelbase (1285 mm) and width (740 mm) are the same, but the height has reduced by 40 mm (1120 mm on the 150, 1164 mm in the 125). The seat height is also the same at 770 mm. The kerb weight has increased by 4 kg as the NTorq 150 now weighs 115 kg.

The NTorq 150 marks TVS’ entry into the sporty 150cc+ scooter segment. Here it rivals the likes of the Yamaha Aerox 155 (₹1.51 lakh), Hero Xoom 160 (₹ 1.49 lakh) and Aprilia SR 175 (₹1.26 lakh).
