TVS Motor Company takes pride in its motorsport legacy, having started the programme more than four decades ago. Since then several TVS models have graced race tracks across the country. The latest to join the list is the Ntorq 150. In the latest development, the Ntorq 150 has been granted homologation by the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI), the premier governing body of motorsports in India.
With the TVS Ntorq 150 entering the homologated list, this indicates that TVS isn’t only focussing on motorcycles for motorsports. TVS hasn’t yet revealed the race-spec version of the Ntorq 150 which should be unveiled in the near future. We expect the scooter to be a leaner and sharper version of the standard scooter.
TVS has already proven the competitive potential of scooters through the Ntorq 125, which has participated in events such as the Indian National Rally Championship. Building on that experience, the Ntorq 150 appears to signal a more focused and structured move toward scooter-based motorsport.

While scooter racing continues to remain a niche segment in India, the introduction of another FMSCI-homologated model could help expand its reach. It may also offer aspiring riders an alternative pathway into competitive racing, further strengthening TVS’ long-standing commitment to motorsport development.
The race-spec TVS Ntorq 150 could feature weight reduction measures, stripped-down non-essential components, and performance-focused upgrades designed for track or rally use. With the production model already weighing around 115 kg, engineers have ample scope to further enhance agility and responsiveness in a competition-oriented setup.

The standard TVS Ntorq 150 is powered by a 149.7 cc single-cylinder, three-valve engine that serves as a more performance-focused evolution of the Ntorq 125’s powertrain. Featuring a larger bore, longer stroke, and lighter pistons, the engine produces 13 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, paired with a CVT transmission.TVS claims that the scooter can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 6.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 104 kmph. The race-spec Ntorq 150 is expected to come with a higher state of tune of the same engine.
