This will be the biggest and most powerful scooter from TVS yet.
The TVS Ntorq 125 has ruled the sporty 125 cc segment since it’s debut. It single handedly raised the aspirational quotient for TVS scooters with its aggressive styling and striking designs, aptly complimented by a performance-oriented engine and dollops of features. Those “Supersquad” editions in collaboration with Marvel further gave it an exclusive status. No wonder then it has become a hugely popular 125 cc scooter, especially among the youth. But for the hoards of NTorq owners there was no option to upgrade within the TVS family.
To address the above, reports now claim that TVS is working to expand its Ntorq portfolio with a bigger and more powerful engine. The scooter in discussion here is the Ntorq 150 and it is in its final stages of development with a probable launch by the festive season.

This is quite the quick timeline, given details about this upcoming scooter is completely unknown. Eitherway, its arrival would add one more compelling option in a segment that has started to expand steadily over the past few years in India. What started with just the Aprilia SR and SXR 160, then was joined by the Yamaha Aerox 155. Several years later, Hero MotoCorp debuted in this space officially with the new Hero Xoom 160. TVS is yet to tap into this segment, and the “Ntorq” badge provides it the ideal option to move forward. Pricing will be an area where TVS will need to be careful. However, consumers are willing to pay the premium provided it rides sporty and quick. The Yamaha Aerox 155 is a shining example of that.

Given that this is an Ntorq, we expect TVS to retain the same aggressive visual stance. A sporty and sleek body style can be in the offing too, plus given how all its competitors ride on 14-inch wheels at both ends, the upcoming Ntorq 150 can sport the same wheel combination too. The marque did not add if it's going to be using an existing engine from one of its Apaches or a completely new 150 cc single-cylinder mill. However, a sporty tune should be the order of the day, coupled with several ride modes, which can now actually alter the engine tune or the ABS mode, etc.
Further information will unfold the more we inch closer to its launch. So, stay tuned to this space.
