TVS has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Karnataka government to invest ₹2,000 crore in the state over the next five years.
TVS Motor Company is all set to further expand its presence in Karnataka by establishing a new Global Capability Centre in the state. The project was outlined by the company’s managing director, Sudarshan Venu, at the Global Investors Meet program in Invest Karnataka 2025. The Hosur-based bikemaker also signed an MoU with the state government to invest ₹2,000 crore over the next 5 years for this purpose.
Think of this as Hero’s Center For Innovation in Jaipur as TVS will be setting up a new production facility. There will also be a new test track where future TVS products will be tested. Currently, the Mysore facility employs 3,500 people and it produces 1.5 million vehicles annually. Expect these numbers to grow, and bring in more revenue for the company, which was ₹7,600 crore last year.
“The office and allied infrastructure will bring together engineers, designers, innovators, AI and ML experts, who will define what is next! Karnataka is a place where great ideas take off and we are excited to expand our footprint in the state,” explained Venu.
