This is the first significant update introduced to the most expensive electric motorcycle in India.
Bengaluru-based Ultraviolette Automotive has taken the wraps off the new F77 Mach2. Although still looking the same as before the updated F77 Mach2 ushers in more performance and range, new colour options, and additional safety and convenience features. Bookings for the same have commenced today and the pre-booking token amount is set at ₹5000. Deliveries will start from May 2024 onwards.
The new 2024 Ultraviolette F77 Mach2 will be available in Mach2 and Mach2 Recon variants. The difference between the two lies in their range, where the former can do 211 km (IDC), and the latter is good for 323 km (IDC) of range on a single charge.
In addition to that, these two variants are further available in three trim levels divided into nine different colour options. The UV F77 Mach2 with Plasma Red, Afterburner Yellow, and Turbo Red colour options are available with Laser trim. Stealth Grey, Cosmic Black, and Asteroid Grey colour options are available as part of the Shadow trim. Lastly, Stellar White, Supersonic Silver, and Lightning Blue with Airstrike trim.
The Ultraviolette F77 Mach2 will continue to be powered by the same 10.2 kWh ‘SRB10’ battery pack. However, it now gets a slightly more powerful mid-mounted motor that produces 40 bhp and 100 Nm. Ultraviolette says the full torque is available right at the start which helps improve acceleration, and the new UV F77 Mach2 can now sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 7.7 seconds - further reinstating its position as the most powerful and quickest electric motorcycle in India.
Interestingly, Ultraviolette has managed to churn out more range from the same battery pack and the UV F77 Mach2 (Recon) can now do 323 km (IDC) of range on a single charge, which is up from 305 km before.
The UV F77 is now available with three fast charger options - standard, boost, and Supernova+. Standard charger takes 3 hours to charge from 20-80%, while Boost takes 1.5 hours to charge the same. UV’s latest unveil, its new Supernova+ chargers takes just 1 hour to charge the same.
The UV F77 was quite the feature-rich motorcycle since day one, but the new Mach2 iteration, gains more. Starting with the new regen mode which gets 10 levels of adjustability, and via the new Dynamic Regen mode you can also toggle regen levels on the go.
In addition, the UV F77 Mach2 now also gains traction control with three levels of intervention - (T3) Rain, (T2)City/ Street, and (T3) Sport/Track – with rain giving the maximum intervention, followed by Street with mid-level of intervention, and the Sport mode gets the least amount of intervention. Expert riders can also opt to turn off the TC.
Ultraviolette has also introduced stability control aka Dynamic Stability Control, making the new F77 Mach2 the first of its electric mobility kind to be available with so. It works in tandem with the regen and ABS and will come in real handy during panic-braking situations.
Along with that, the UV F77 has gained hill-hold assist, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, new Display Themes, and onboard navigation. The ‘My F77’ app has also been thoroughly updated, which enhances the whole ownership experience by giving customers control over several aspects of the bike – from anti-theft to full statistics of one’s ride.
Despite all these new additions, Ultraviolette Automotive has managed to price the new F77 Mach2 at a very attractive ₹2.99 lakh (introductory ex-showroom) price. While the F77 Mach2 Recon will set you back by ₹3.99 lakh. In this price range, the UV F77 will have performance-oriented ICE counterparts like the KTM 390 Duke, Aprilia RS 457, and the TVS Apache RR 310.
