This is the first two-wheeler in India to come with radar technology.
Bengaluru-based Ultraviolette Automotive has ushered in India's first two-wheeler equipped with radar technology with the launch of the new X-47 Crossover. The electric price has been launched at an introductory price of ₹2.49 lakh (ex-showroom), and bookings for the same have commenced at ₹999, wherein deliveries for the same will start from next month, i.e. October. Ultraviolette Automotive will also launch the X-47 Crossover in global markets next year as well.
The new Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover is built around the same platform that also underpins the F77; however, the sub-frame and the suspension components have been slightly tweaked to suit the bike’s soft off-roader appeal. But the biggest talking point here is the availability of a 6th-generation long-range radar technology that the brand is calling the UV HyperSense system. The 77 GHz radar can monitor distances up to 200 metres and adapts to lean angles of up to 20 degrees.
The radar system provides four key safety features: blind-spot monitoring, lane change assistance, overtake alerts, and rear collision warnings. It works alongside an integrated dashcam system with front and rear cameras
The Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover is powered by a 10.3 kWh battery pack delivering 39.45 bhp and 610 Nm of peak torque at the wheel. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 2.7 seconds and 0 to 100 kmph in just 8.1 seconds. It can reach a top speed of 145 kmph and offers an IDC range of 323 km.
The X-47 Crossover also introduces what Ultraviolette claims is the world's most power-dense air-cooled onboard charger, supporting both Type 2 AC car charging and DC fast charging with Type 6. The company has also developed "parallel boost charging" technology that works with the onboard charger to halve charging times.
Other features include 10th-generation Bosch dual-channel ABS, three-level traction control, Brembo brakes, and industry-first radial all-terrain tyres. The motorcycle offers 200mm ground clearance and storage options through soft panniers (30 litres) or hard panniers (32 litres).
