The festive season is right around the corner and many manufacturers are gearing up to capture the increasing sales during this period. While August 2024 saw a plethora of new cars being launched, September 2024 isn’t far behind either. Let’s take a look at what’s in store this month.

Tata Curvv ICE

Tata

Launch: September 2, 2024

Price: ₹9.99 - 17.69 lakh (ex-showroom, India)

Starting this month with a bang is Tata Motors. The brand’s first coupe SUV, the Curvv, now gets an internal combustion engine (ICE) too, which was showcased during the launch of the Curvv.ev. The Curvv ICE gets a choice of two turbo-petrol engines and a diesel engine. And it comes with almost all the features the Curvv.ev gets. However, Tata Motors is yet to reveal the prices of the AT variants of the Curvv ICE.

Skoda Slavia Monte Carlo

Skoda

Launch: September 2, 2024

Price: ₹15.79 lakh - 18.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India)

The sportier edition of the Slavia, the Monte Carlo, is the second launch of September 2024. While there are no mechanical changes, the Slavia Monte Carlo gets multiple blacked-out elements on the outside, along with a handful of red accents in the cabin. It continues to get a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox, along with the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV

Mercedes-Maybach

Launch: September 5, 2024

Expected Price: ₹3.5 - 4 crore (ex-showroom, India)

Touted as Mercedes-Benz’s most expensive model in India, the EQS SUV is also Maybach’s first-ever electric vehicle (EV). It comes with two electric motors capable of churning out 649 bhp and 950 Nm. Its 122 kWh battery pack gives it a claimed range of up to 611 km on a full charge. The Maybach EQS SUV will also be the most luxurious and expensive launch of the month.

Hyundai Alcazar

Hyundai

Launch: September 9, 2024

Expected Price: ₹17 - 24 lakh (ex-showroom, India)

The Alcazar is getting a facelift more than three years after it was launched in India. With the refresh, the three-row SUV will get a new fascia, similar to the Creta facelift that was launched earlier this year. It will also get a revised cabin that won’t be very dissimilar to the Creta facelift either. It will now get the same ADAS suite as its two-row cousin and continue with the same powertrain options as the outgoing Alcazar.

MG Windsor EV

MG

Launch: September 11, 2024

Expected Price: ₹30 lakh (ex-showroom, India)

To be launched as a rebadged version of the Wuling Cloud EV, the MG Windsor EV will be the brand’s third electric vehicle in India. While not much is known, the Windsor EV will get a large 15.6-inch touchscreen, flat-folding rear seats, a panoramic sunroof among other features. It is likely to be powered by a 50.6 kWh battery pack with an approximate range of around 450 km.

BYD e6 facelift

BYD

Expected Launch: Early September, 2024

Expected Price: ₹32 - 34 lakh (ex-showroom, India)

BYD is on a spree of new launches this year. Starting with the Seal, the Chinese EV giant has also recently updated the Atto 3 crossover. This time, BYD is expected to update the e6 MPV with new features, a refreshed design and a minor tweak to the powertrain.

Updated Citroën C3 Aircross

1

Expected Launch: Mid-Late September 2024

Expected Price: ₹7.5 - 14 lakh (ex-showroom, India)

During the global debut of the Basalt, Citroën also showcased the updated C3 Aircross. Chief among the updates will be a new powertrain as the C3 Aircross will get the 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, as we exclusively reported. Furthermore, the C3 Aircross will also get new features like LED headlamps, auto-fold ORVMs, a sliding centre armrest, automatic climate controls and more.
