Besides debuting a fairly new aggressive body design, we even get a detailed glimpse of the kind of features the upcoming Glamour X will debut with.
The upcoming Hero Glamour 125 has been spotted in a dealership ahead of its launch tomorrow giving us some new information. For starters, we now know that Hero MotoCorp will be calling it the Glamour X. It will slot in as the most premium “Glamour” bike in the brand’s portfolio and judging by the features it is slated to debut with, we reckon it even holds the potential to surpass the likes of the new Honda CB Hornet 125 and its own stablemate, the Hero Xtreme 125R.
Given its premium position, the upcoming Hero GlamourX 125 will look sporty and upmarket. We’ve been mightily impressed with the brand’s build quality on bikes such as the Hero Xtreme 250R, or Xtreme 125R, and even the Karizma XMR 210 – we expect the GlamourX will also carry forward the same reputation.

The headlight cowl will be redesigned to accommodate the more aggressive looking lights, similarly the tail light has also been redesigned. The side panels might sport a sleeker look, and the tank extensions on the Glamour X are expected to sport a sharper profile. Beyond that, the alloy wheel design will remain the same, and it will continue to run on tubeless tyres.
The biggest talking point of the new Hero GlamourX will be the new features it will have on offer. For starters, it will be the first 125 cc bike to get cruise control. You can now stay at a steady speed without any throttle calibrations with this new feature – Usually it comes in real handy when doing long distance touring, but for people who do frequent intra-city traveling on expressways, it will come across as a big boon. For the enthusiasts, Hero will also offer different ride modes. The teaser had already confirmed the “Road” mode, the other options will be confirmed tomorrow.

Controls to all the above features can be toggled on a new fully digital colour LCD instrument console. This unit will be Bluetooth compatible and therefore you can access turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alert, and more. Plus, LED headlight, tail light and turn indicators will also be available as standard.
Despite those extensive revisions, the upcoming Hero GlamourX will be based on the platform as the existing Glamour 125 range. It will continue to sport telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers at both ends. The front wheel is equipped with a disc brake, and the rear gets a drum brake. Hero might also offer a single-channel ABS as standard, more so due to the Government mandate.
The Hero GlamourX will be powered by the same 124.7 cc, air-cooled single-cylinder engine. This mill produces 10.39 bhp and 10.4 Nm in the Hero Glamour and 10.7 bhp and 10.6 Nm in the Glamour Xtec. It remains to be seen which tune the GlamourX gets.
We expect the Hero GlamourX to cost around ₹1 lakh as the existing range is pricedfrom ₹87,198 to ₹95,098 (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom). Either way, Hero MotoCorp is slated to launch quite the challenger in the 125 cc segment and we can’t wait to find out how good the bike will be.
