It is a fully faired 125cc bike with the proportion inspired by larger displacement sports bikes.
QJ Motor is setting its sights on a younger biker audience with the introduction of the all-new SRK 125 R. This 125cc offering joins the SRK 125 S (naked) and SRV 125 (custom) models. This is the missing fully faired option for riders seeking a sporty feel on a smaller motorcycle.
QJ Motor SRK 125 R takes design cues from larger displacement sportbikes. These feature an aggressive and aerodynamic aesthetic. The design is achieved through a combination of including a stepped seat that separates the rider and passenger.
A large, sculpted fuel tank that contributes to the bike's muscular stance, and an upswept exhaust whose lines mirror the rise of the seat towards the rear. These design choices are sure to appeal to young riders who want a motorcycle that looks as fast as it feels.
QJ Motor SRK 125 R has a feature set that punches above its weight class. A standout feature is the 5-inch multifunction TFT instrument cluster. This allows riders to connect their phones and access features like navigation or music on the go. A USB/USB-C charging port keeps devices powered, while full LED lighting provides excellent visibility and a modern look. Safety is prioritised with dual-channel ABS.
QJ Motor SRK SRK 125 R gets its power from a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-valve engine. This engine produces a respectable 15 bhp and 12 Nm. This is channelled through a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch. While the top speed is limited to 130 kmph due to the engine size, it should offer enough zip for city riding and twisty roads. Long highway stretches could be a task.
The SRK 125 R is kind of heavy for a 125cc at 153 kg. The 12.5-litre fuel tank should provide decent range. The seat height sits at 785 mm, which will be appreciated by shorter riders. Handling is expected to be sharp thanks to the non-adjustable USD fork and monoshock with adjustable preload.
QJ Motor SRK 125 R rolls on 17-inch wheels with a 100/80 tyre at the front and a wider 130/70 tyre at the rear. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes on both wheels, with the larger 320 mm disc up front and a 240 mm disc at the rear.
The QJ Motor SRK 125 R is a compelling option for young riders looking for a stylish and feature-packed motorcycle in the 125cc segment. While the price is not out yet it should be well within a budget at least in the markets where it will be sold. We do not expect this product in India but if it does it would serve as a competition to the KTM RC 125 which is the only 125cc fully faired bike in the segment.
