Bengaluru-based Ola Electric’s CEO Bhavish Aggarwal took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to announce that on April 15 a new updated iteration of the Ola S1X will be showcased.
As per the tweet, the Ola S1X range of scooters is slated to share some of the features from the Ola S1 Pro and Air models. It will also get a physical key now, thereby probably making the slightly confusing security code lock/unlock option a thing of the past.

Design-wise, the scooters revealed in the tweet do not showcase any radical change at all. However, Ola will most likely introduce new colour options into the mix.
Currently, the Ola S1X is available in two trim levels – S1X and S1X+ – with three battery types – 4 kWh, 3 kWh and 2 kWh. Prices start from ₹80,000 with the Ola S1X (2 kWh) variant, followed by the mid-spec Ola S1X+ with a 3 kWh battery type priced at ₹85,000. The top-of-the-line Ola S1X with a 4 kWh battery type will set you back by ₹1.10 lakh (all ex-showroom price).

With the addition of new features, prices of the Ola S1X range will most likely increase from the current range. Coupled with the fact that the FAME-2 subsidy scheme has also expired, and instead the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024 has kicked in which has a limited subsidy rate, compared to FAME-2, prices of all Ola electric scooters are highly likely to increase as well.
