The exclusive glossy Verde Pastello green is inspired by the first ever Vespa model.
Marking its 80th anniversary, Vespa has announced the Vespa Tech 80th Series in India, inspired by the company’s classic designs but incorporating all the technology of its current offerings.
According to the company, the Vespa Tech 80th Series is designed to reflect the practicality and functionality of the original Vespa, with a bold yet minimalist look.

The Vespa Tech 80th 125 and 150 will be available in an exclusive glossy Verde Pastello green, which the company says “evokes the spring of 1946, and the arrival of a two-wheeled vehicle that was about to take over Italy and Europe, riding the tumultuous, creative wave of a continent's rebirth after war”. This specific shade is inspired by the first ever Vespa model, available in only a single colour, as preserved in the company’s own archive.

The body colour carries over to various design elements including the perimeter of the shield, passenger grab handle, rear-view mirrors, control units, and front suspension linkage, in a satin texture. A darker but complementary tone has been used for the saddle and its stitching, the rubber inserts on the footrest, and the handles. The rims, also inspired by early models such as the Vespa 98 from 1946, are painted in Verde Pastello with a diamond-finish channel.

An ‘80th’ plaque on the front shield, and an ‘80 years of Vespa Est. 1946’ logo on the backplate commemorate the company's landmark anniversary, which coincides with the year of the founding of the Italian Republic.
This launch marks 80 years since the company filed its first patent, on April 23, 1946. Vespa has not yet announced prices or availability details for the Vespa Tech 80th Series.
