The Vida VX2 will be available in two variants – Plus and Go.
Hero’s all-electric sub-brand, Vida, has launched its second electric scooter, the VX2. It starts from ₹54,490 (ex-showroom price, Delhi) with the entry-level Go variant, while the top-spec Plus variant will set you back by ₹64,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Both the asking price are of just the scooter wherein the battery can be purchased separately (i.e. Battery As A Service). If the same are purchased with the removable batteries bundled together, then the Vida VX2 Plus variant will cost ₹1.10 lakh, while the Go variant will set you back by ₹99,490 (both ex-showroom prices, Delhi).
The Vida VX2 Go variant is powered by a 2.2 kWh removable battery, which is good for 92 km of claimed range on a single charge. While the VX2 Plus gets the bigger 3.4 kWh removable battery, which delivers a claimed range of 142 km on a single charge. While Vida hasn’t revealed its BaaS plans, it did mention that it will cost customers just ₹0.96 per km. Furthermore, since the batteries are removable, one can easily remove them and charge them at home. Vida is also offering fast chargers, which will charge from 0-80% of the battery in just 1 hour.

Design-wise, the new Vida VX2 looks neat and clean, and has quite the premium finish for something that starts from under ₹60,000. Feature-wise, it gets quite the bells and whistles wherein the base-spec variant is available with a 4.2-inch LCD screen, while the top-spec variant gets a 4.2-inch TFT instead. Both support Bluetooth connectivity, but display just turn-by-turn navigation. Additionally, it is also one of the only electric scooters in this price range to come with remote immobilisation and cloud connectivity for added security. As for practicality, Vida claims that there is 33.2 litres of boot space available here, provided you remove both the batteries.
While Vida didn’t mention anything about bookings or delivery date as such. The Vida VX2 was already spotted at dealerships earlier before, therefore, deliveries for the scooter should commence soon. The Vida VX2 is the latest sub-₹1 lakh electric scooter to launch in the country. Bajaj recently launched the Chetak 3001, and TVS already has the iQube with the 2.2 kWh battery that is priced at ₹94,434. But both offer more practical storage space than the VX2 here — will that become a dealbreaker for many now remains to be seen.
