VinFast has confirmed plans to bring a seven-seater MPV to India this year, which will be sold to private and commercial buyers. It also plans to bring two new models, the details of which remain under wraps for now.
Having made its India entry in 2025 with two new offerings, Vietnamese carmaker VinFast has announced plans to expand its lineup with three new cars in 2026. The automaker has confirmed its plans to bring a seven-seater MPV later in the year, without disclosing more details about the other two models. Furthermore, the company shared it plans to introduce electric scooters and buses, which will be locally assembled at its manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu.
Addressing the media at a recent event, Tapan Ghosh, CEO - VinFast India, said, “In 2026, VinFast plans to introduce three new models to the Indian market. These products are designed around real usage patterns and premiumness, not just specifications on paper, and aim to deliver strong value for price-conscious Indian consumers. We will begin with launching 7 Seater MPV. This is a premium yet practical electric MPV developed with both family and commercial use in mind. It reflects how we see EV adoption evolving in India, not only as a personal choice, but also as a shared and fleet-based solution. Beyond that, additional models will follow, each addressing different segments and needs. Our focus remains on safety, reliability, and long-term value, the fundamentals that sustain brands over time, rather than chasing trends.”

VinFast previously revealed its planning to bring the Limo Green seven-seater MPV from its global lineup to India. The model is expected to arrive for personal and commercial sales, but will be packaged differently for either customer. The other models remain under wraps for now but the automaker is expected to bring the VF 5 and VF 3 to the market.
Tapan Ghosh also spoke about expanding VinFast’s network across the country. The automaker opened 35 showrooms in 2025, and plans to expand its footprint to 75 showrooms across the country in 2026. While its focus was majorly on Tier I and II markets initially, Ghosh said the company plans to increase presence deeper in Tier II and IV cities next.
“Going forward we will increase our network deeper to Tier3 & Tier4 cities and also increase our showroom footprint in the existing big volume cities. This is not for visibility alone, because in my experience, customers only build trust when access is easy. They should be able to see, touch, test, and service a VinFast vehicle without friction,” he said.

There will be additional focus on growing the service network, training more technicians, and strengthening the after-sales support. Furthermore, VinFast aims to expand its own charging infrastructure, and also plans to bring its own ride-hailing solutions to India.
Ghosh said, “In 2026, VinFast’s ecosystem in India will begin to grow further, stronger. We will work with our partners in Vingroup’s green mobility ecosystem to bring charging infrastructure and all-electric ride-hailing solutions to India, so that EVs are not just owned, but actively used and seen every day.”
