Shortly after its India debut, VW has officially revealed the prices of the 2026 Taigun facelift.
Volkswagen has officially launched the 2026 Taigun facelift in India at a starting price of ₹10.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Alongside the price announcement, Volkswagen has also introduced an assured buyback programme for the new 2026 Taigun. It guarantees a residual value of 75% of the ex-showroom price after up to 3 years or 30,000 km, whichever comes first. This is the highest buyback value anyone offers in the Indian passenger car industry. The assured buyback programme is valid for all new Taigun bookings made until 31 May 2026.
The Taigun facelift carries forward the proven 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine producing 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque, along with the more powerful 1.5-litre TSI unit delivering 148 bhp and 250 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a brand new 8-speed auto on the 1.0-litre unit. The 1.5-litre unit continues to be offered with the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
In terms of styling, Volkswagen has taken a measured and conservative approach with the design changes. The front end now features a sleeker grille accompanied by a full-width light bar, while the illuminated Volkswagen logo adds a premium touch both at the front and rear. The bumper has been reworked with piano black accents, and the side profile remains largely unchanged except for a fresh set of alloy wheels.
At the rear, the updates mirror the front with revised LED taillamps that include sequential turn indicators, a mildly updated bumper, and a new welcome and goodbye animation for the lights. The facelifted Taigun will be available in nine attractive exterior colour options, including two fresh shades: Avocado Pearl and Steel Grey.
Inside the cabin, the 2026 Taigun retains the familiar layout but gains several meaningful upgrades. It now comes equipped with a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster that supports navigation integration and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring 15 additional applications. A highlight is the introduction of the “Hello Volkswagen” AI voice assistant.
Other notable additions on the car include full LED headlamps with automatic levelling. Buyers can also enjoy creature comforts such as a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, and six-way electrically adjustable ventilated front seats.
